Welcome to TVEC!

Twin Valley Elementary Center, one of three elementary centers in the Twin Valley School District, is located in northwestern Chester County, Pennsylvania; approximately 50 miles northwest of Philadelphia, just off the Morgantown exit of the PA Turnpike. We are a K-4 school serving over 350 students from the town of Elverson, West Nantmeal Township, and parts of Honeybrook Township in Chester County as well as the town of Morgantown and Caernarvon Township in Berks County.

We practice a balanced literacy approach to Language Arts utilizing the Units of Study program by Lucy Calkins.  Reading and writing activities interact with each other through all subject areas as we promote literacy through interactive read-aloud, shared reading experiences, guided reading groups, word study and writer’s notebook.

Mathematics is taught through the Everyday Math Program which features strong math instruction through interactive activities, both online and in the classroom. With new technology additions such as Promethean Boards, our math instruction features more visual integration and hands on interactive learning, opening up opportunities for a new generation of learners.

In addition to strong academics, TVEC is well supported by a highly active and caring Partner in Education parent organization. The PIE-PTO supports the education of our students through fund raising efforts that enhance curriculum and provide extra-curricular activities such as class field trips, after school clubs, family movie nights, and the popular Spring Carnival.

At TVEC, we take pride in the academic achievements of our students, the dedication of our staff members, and the support from our parents and community. Most importantly TVEC recognizes the whole child; we strive to meet the social-emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of our students. We are proud to represent the Twin Valley community and strive to teach our students to demonstrate respect for others, learn from differences and be responsible citizens.

Sincerely,
